Thor star Chris Hemsworth made his debut in the MCU back in 2011 along with his on-screen brother Tom Hiddleston. Ever since they appeared as brothers on-screen, they have been the favorite of many Marvel fans. Their chemistry is something magical that seems to enchant all the audiences although it is quite a bit spiky.
Not only on-screen but their bromance off-screen is something people are envious of. Hiddleston even calls Hemsworth his brother from another mother, and certainly, Hemsworth regards Hiddleston the same. However, the Loki star’s brother revealed that he has only watched one episode of the Disney+ Marvel series Loki even though he has a brief cameo in the fifth episode of the series.
Why did Chris Hemsworth watch only one episode of Loki?
Hemsworth recently appeared on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, where he discussed several things, including his Marvel career. Speaking of Marvel, he later discussed Hiddlestone’s series Loki and revealed that he was unable to complete it. And that obviously raises the question, why? Did he not like it?
No, that is not why he could not complete the series, he just did not have time. He explained in the podcast, “I think I saw an episode of Loki and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s cool…’ I’ve got three kids, mate. I’ve got three kids and… I’m off gallivanting around the place… No, I haven’t watched anything. It’s not because I don’t want to. I just haven’t had time.”
It has been a few months since Hemsworth’s God of thunder appeared on the big screen, Thor: Love and Thunder hit the theatres in July however, critics and fans did not respond well because of the excessive humor in the film. He has been playing Thor for over a decade, so, even though he once claimed that he will play Thor forever, now he has admitted that his character should come to conclusion.
Hemsworth said in the podcast that he does not know if he’s invited back but if he is then it probably would be the final film for Thor. “I feel like we’d probably have to close the book if I ever did it again, you know what I mean? I feel like it probably warrants that. I feel like it’d probably be the finale, but that’s not based on anything anyone’s told me or any sort of plans. You have this birth of a hero, the journey of a hero, then the death of a hero, and I don’t know—am I at that stage? Who knows?”
But one thing is clear fans do not want Hemsworth to quit Thor and keep portraying the God of thunder forever.
Will Thor reunite with Loki?
Yes, there is no doubt that the two brothers will reunite again but we can’t expect to see them reuniting in season 2 of Loki or anytime sooner. However, Loki 2 might answer or give us an idea of how the two brothers from another mother will meet again.
Furthermore, as per the reports, Thor will finally meet his brother Loki in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Loki now knows about He Who Remains’ variants and how dangerous they are and at the end of Loki season 1, we saw Loki trying to warn his friend Mobius (variant).
So, we can say that this time Loki will come to warn about Kang, just like how Bruce warned everyone on earth (technically Dr. Strange and Ironman) about Thanos. And supposedly Thor will be the first person Loki will go to warn about Kang.
However, as mentioned above, it won’t be anytime soon as Kang Dynasty will be released in 2025. Moreover, following his announcement of a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, Hemsworth has decided to take a break from acting and give his time to his wife Elsa Pataky, and his three kids.
