The major protagonist of the One Piece series, Luffy is an infamous pirate who has ridiculous power. Because of his potency and skills, he has come to be considered one of the Emperors of the Sea.
Well, we know the fact that he gained this title as he defeated numerous formidable pirates of the sea. Throughout his journey to becoming the King of Pirates, he has struggled and trained a lot.
Thanks to his relentless training, he has succeeded to become one of the strongest pirates with a bounty of over a billion. It all became possible as he overwhelmed many opponents with his overpowered attacks and techniques.
So, let’s have a look at the strongest attack of the Captain of the Straw Hats Pirates.
Gomu Gomu No Bajrang Gun
Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun is the latest attack of Luffy in his new transformation, Gear 5. This gear form is the awakened form of Mugiwara where he gets more powers and abilities than his previous gears.
Following the Kong gun, this attack of Luffy is so powerful that he is capable of defeating the strongest creature alive with its help of it.
This form of Luffy is capable of forming a fist that is as large as one of the territories of Wano, Onigashima. Bajrang Gun is simply the enhanced version of Kong Gun with the combination of both advanced Armament and Conquerors Haki.
With the massive increase in the size of his fists, Luffy approached Kaido with this attack and it formed one of the greatest clashes of Conquerors Haki in the entire series.
This move of the Captain of the Straw Hats Pirates is potent enough to knock out an Emperor of the Sea. It is powerful enough to send Kaido flying through the ground of Wano forming a hole with a pattern of a Dragon.
As we haven’t evidenced Luffy dealing life-taking damage to Kaido, there is a high possibility that Gomu Gomu No Bajrang Gun is the strongest attack Luffy if he defeats Kaido with the help of it. However, it is not confirmed yet.
Gomu Gomu No Kong Gun
Like Gomu Gomu No King Kong, Kong Gun is also one of the strongest attacks of Luffy. Luffy uses this attack while he is in Gear Fourth transformation.
Gomu Gomu No Kong Gun is the most powerful attack of Luffy that the audience has evidenced till now. While using this technique, Mugiwara inflates his body in a muscular form and coats his body with Haki.
In the form of Bounce man of Gear fourth, Luffy gains a huge amount of strength. He contracts his strength and unleashed the retracted arms and launches an attack on his opponent with greater force.
The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates learned to use this technique on the Rusukaina island under the direction of Silvers Rayleigh after the death of his brother in front of his eyes at the Paramount War.
Luffy used these attacks for the first time against the Heavenly Demon. He was compelled to unleash his hidden power of him as Doflamingo was quite formidable.
Mugiwara used the same attack against Charlotte Katakuri in the Mirror World but he succeeded to lessen the damage of it by absorbing it.
This attack of Luffy was powerful enough to cause Kaido’s one of the most powerful attacks to explode inside his mouth as well as causing extra damage.
Compression and Expansion of powers play a great role to make this attack successful.
Gomu Gomu No Red Roc
Gomu Gomu No Red Roc is the most powerful attack Luffy revealed so far. This attack is performed by Luffy with the combination of Gear Second and Third form.
To launch this attack, Luffy inflates his arm rather than his entire body and approaches his opponent in gear second with such speed that his arms get turned into flames likewise Red Hawk.
Luffy often used this technique with normal Armament Haki and was not quite powerful enough to defeat formidable pirates of the sea.
Thus, he trained Ryou Haki under the direction of Hyogoro at the prison in Udon. This increased the power of Luffy’s every attack including Gomu Gomu No Red Roc.
After infusing this attack with advanced Armament Haki called Ryou, it became so powerful that Luffy almost knocked Kaido with a single blow of this attack leaving Big Mom speechless.
When imbued with Ryou Haki, Gomu Gomu No Red Roc is so powerful that it surpasses Gomu Gomu No Kong Gun resulting in it being the strongest attack of Luffy.
However, Red Roc’s current title of strongest attack of Luffy will be soon replaced soon as the manga is coming up with more powerful attacks than this one.
Gomu Gomu No Jet Culverin
Gomu Gomu No Jet Cculverine is one of the most powerful attacks of Luffy in Snake-man form of Gear Fourth transformation. This attack was firstly introduced in Whole Cake island of the series.
We saw Luffy using this attack against Charlotte Katakuri during their battle in the Mirror World. In this form, the Captain of the Straw Hats compresses his body like springs and attacks the opponent with swiftness and more power.
In this form, Luffy can even change the direction of his attacks and most of his attacks come in contact with his opponent as it is very difficult to dodge this attack.
This attack helps Luffy a lot to hold fight the most formidable opponents all over the sea. This attack was powerful enough to give a very tough time to one of the Top Generals who worked under the Yonko, Big Mom.
Although it is not the strongest, this attack is without a doubt one of the strongest attacks among all the powerful attacks of Monkey D. Luffy.
Gomu Gomu No King Kong Gun
Gomu Gomu No King Kong Gon is one of the versions of Luffy’s Gear Fourth Techniques. Luffy learned to use this attack while training under the right-hand man of the King of the Pirates.
To perform this attack, Luffy inflates his body and coats his body with Armament Haki. He compresses his fist into his arm and releases it with greater force and speed when his enemy is in range.
The Captain of the Straw Hats Pirates used this technique to overwhelm the Donquixote Doflamingo after destroying his Sagi and Kumo and the most powerful attack of Heavenly Demon, God Thread.
When Luffy sailed to Wano to take down Kaido, he evolved this technique of him by strengthening his Bushoshoku Haki.
In the previous attacks, Luffy compressed his arms and launched the attacks toward his opponent as soon as he approached them, but this time, he did something else.
In this technique, he approached his enemy and projected the Haki out of his fist, and attacked his opponent without even touching them.
Gomu Gomu No Red Hawk
Gomu Gomu No Red Hawk is one of the strongest attacks of Luffy in Gear Second. This attack was first used by Luffy on Fishman Island.
This is the advanced version of Gomu Gomu No Jet Bullet. With this attack, Luffy has succeeded to defeat many formidable pirates in the sea.
In this form, Luffy stretches his arm up to a certain distance, coats it with Armament Haki, and launches the attack with such swiftness that his hand gets covered in the flames.
As soon as the attack gets in contact with the opponent’s body, the flames blow up into the enemy’s body causing a critical injury to their internal organs.
Gomu Gomu No Red Hawk used by Luffy is capable of causing a lethal injury to his opponents with relative ease. Thus, this attack of Luffy is also considered one of the strongest attacks of the Captain of the Straw Hats.
Gomu Gomu No Black Mamba
Performed during the transformation of Fear Fourth, Black Mamba is the most dangerous and like taking attacks Luffy. Apparently, this is a different version of Snake man form.
With the power granted to Luffy with this attack, he can launch numerous attacks without letting a single chance for his opponent to counter back.
This attack of Luffy works very uniquely. He contracts his arms and lets out a swift strike by moving his arms up and down. This move creates an image of numerous arms approaching to attack at once.
Likewise Jet Culverine, Black Mamba also ables Luffy to change the direction of his attacks. This attack was firstly used by the Captain of the Straw Hats against Charlotte Katakuri. However, he was able to resist the attack.
Black Mamba is a ridiculously powerful attack of Luffy and he uses this attack only while facing the most formidable opponents. This technique is the most sustainable and highest-rated attack of Mugiwara.
Gomu Gomu No Leo Bazooka
Following other powerful attacks of Luffy, Leo Bazooka is also exceptionally potent. This attack is performed by him in Gear Fourth transformation.
The Captain of the Straw Hats used this attack against Donquixote Doflamingo for the first time. When he attacked Heavenly Demon, he sent him flying over the Dressrosa.
The major advantage of this attack on Luffy is its amusing power and swiftness. He can overwhelm most of the infamous pirates all over the sea with the freaking capabilities of this attack.
In this form, Luffy can fly in the sky and launch fierce aerial attacks with the power of fists that is contracted into his arms.
Including other Gear Four techniques, The Captain of the Straw Hats pirates learned this attack during the time of training on Rusukania Island under the direction of Silvers Rayleigh.
Most fans agree on this as one of the strongest attacks of Luffy as we got evidence of him causing lethal damage to the formidable opponents.
Gomu Gomu No Elephant Gatling Gun
Elephant Gatling Gun is one of the most ferocious attacks of Luffy performed by him while being in the Gear Third transformation.
After Luffy unleashed his Gear Third transformation, he succeeded to use this attack with ease. In fact, Luffy was able to defeat the Captain of the Fishman Pirates.
Despite Hody having the advantage of energy steroids, the Captain of the Straw Hats pirates defeated him with the overwhelming power of this technique.
While performing this technique, Luffy inflates his arms, coats them with Haki, and continuously charges at his opponent until they don’t get knocked out.
Since the massive air power perch into the fists rather than the upper part of the arm, Luffy can punch and immediately withdraw his hands for another blow.
Elephant Gatling Gun is so powerful that Luffy almost destroyed Noah, an ark that seems to be the largest wooden ship seen in the series until now.
Gomu Gomu No Grizzly Magnum
Gomu Gomu No Grizzly magnum is an attack of Mugiwara that is so powerful that it will leave you astonished. This attack is performed by him in Gear Third transformation.
This is a long-ranged technique of Luffy. In this attack, Luffy maintains distance from his opponent, stretches his arm to a certain point, inflates it, coats his arms with Haki, and finally approaches his enemy with the death-dealing attack.
In episodes 617-618 during the Punk Hazard Arc, The Captain of the Straw Hats used this technique for the first time. Luffy also defeated Ceaser Clown with help of this powerful attack.
We also got to witness Mugiwara using this technique while fighting against Charlotte Katakuri, one of the Top Sweet generals of Emperors of the Sea.
Grizzly Magnum of the Gear Third version provides Luffy capable of overwhelming many infamous pirates. This attack is not the strongest attack of Mugiwara but it undoubtedly is one of his strongest moves.
