The horror of Ghostface made its appearance in this year’s Halloween but it will also make its comeback in the upcoming movie!
Scream 6 will be back and this time it will have the appearance of Ghostface which is gonna get filled with horror for the audience. In the previous part, Scream 5 fans got to experience the new face of Ghostface where he is filled with violence and his target will be a new group of unsuspecting teens. We also get to see Sidney, Dewey, and Gale, the OG trio of the franchise trying to help the teens.

Scream 6 release date
The series was set out to release on 31st March 2023 but after some updates, we received that Scream 6 will arrive at the theaters on March 10, 2023.
The new series of Scream will land in the theaters after almost 14 months after the series previous release, Scream 5. In February 2022, it was confirmed that the Scream movie is moving ahead. Let’s take a look at the announcement that Paramount and Spyglass made; “We are tremendously grateful to the fans around the world who enthusiastically received our film.
“We can’t wait for audiences to see what Radio Silence [directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett], writers Jamie [Vanderbilt] and Guy [Busick] and Project X [Entertainment] have in store for our Woodsboro family.”
Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett added: “Working with such a wonderful and talented family of creators – and in the lineage, Wes [Craven] and Kevin [Williamson] so expertly built – has been the thrill of a lifetime and we’re so excited to bring the next chapter in the Scream saga to life.”
Courtney Cox also announced that she was making her return in Scream 6 and she also revealed that the movie was gonna take a flight in June 2022. Let’s see what Courtney said to Entertainment Online.
“I got the script yesterday,” she added; “I haven’t read it yet, I just got it […] I’m excited to read it, and I know they’re gonna start filming I think in June, in Canada. I don’t know if I’m supposed to say anything. Shen then joked saying; “Let me tell you the killer!”

She added; “And as a woman in this business, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued. I honestly don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years, that the number that I was offered would be the number that would be offered to a man.
“And in my soul, I just couldn’t do that. I couldn’t walk on set feeling that — feeling undervalued and feeling the unfairness, or lack of fairness, around that.”
We will not see her appearance of her but we will get to see Courtney Cox, Gale Weather, and also the lead members from the previous series; Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, and Sam and Tara Carpenter.
the loss of Sydney was shocking news to the fans but to fill the gaps in the movie Hayden Panettiere will play the role of Kirby Reed in Scream 6. There are also many other characters who will make their appearance from the previous movie, such as; Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding as Randy’s niece and the iconic voice of Ghostface that Roger Jackson will present.
The list of cast members is exciting for Scream 6, but that’s not the end. There are also many new members who will make their appearance, such as; Tony Revolori, Samara Weaving, Henry Czerny, Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Josh Segarra, Liana Liberato, and Devyn Nekoda.
The movie is sure gonna take an exciting turn. The fans can’t wait to take a seat in the theatre on March 10, 2023.
What is the plot of Scream 6?
To untangle the plot for Scream 6 can be very challenging because they don’t have a clear sequel and they don’t follow much from the previous series.
Well, the movie seems to have Sam and Tara Carpenter as the vital characters for the horror movie and we know that Sam has a connection with the daughter of Billy and something starts to make sense here.
Taking this thing in mind, this will make her a target naturally just like Sidney was. There was a chance for the Scream to make Sam a killer like her father, but they avoided it. In the future, we might get to see this approach in coming.
Let’s take a look at what Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, co-director of the movie said about this approach to Fandom; “Our approach was that she has now accepted that Billy is a part of her. And while he’s never going to not be a part of her, she has to now carry that forward,”
He added; “We had a cut of the movie where she was still medicating herself at the end and we all decided it was better to not have her do that and make it actually feel like she’s not just back where she started medicating away her past and that she’s actually able now to accept Billy as a part of who she is.”
Now, let’s take a look at what Melissa Barrera said on the plot of the new movie to comicbook; “It’s, like 20 times more mortifying. It’s awful,”
“Because you also see how, in a city like New York City, everyone is kind of doing their own thing and someone is screaming for help, and no one will come to their help. No one comes to help them, you know, like, everyone’s kind of like, ‘I’m not getting into that.’ So it’s mortifying because you’re chased by Ghostface, but you also see humanity and how that reacts in a situation like that. Anyway, I think I’ve already probably said too much.”
From this information, we can be sure that the movie will have some of the most horrifying scenes and it’s gonna be a great challenge for the Scream to fill the gaps in Sidney’s absence. They can kill Sidney off-screen for not getting her involved.
Sidney’s absence will put a great impact on the production, it’s like undying Michael Myres finally dying in the series.
Will there be a Scream 7?
After the latest installment, it’s hard for us to assume that there will be more Scream movies in the future. Well according to what Kevin Williamson told Collider the franchise might move on and take a few steps.
“I’ve been proven wrong repeatedly. Since this last one was such a pleasure… I also think one of the wonderful things about Scream is that there’s a different killer in every film. There’s [Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, or Freddy Krueger], they don’t go away.
He added; “And Ghostface changes with every movie, so we have an opportunity to change the motive, change the story, and we can always twist and turn it since it [the original Scream] was always meant to be a game-changer.”
