Dave Grohl is the ultimate musician who would be able to do anything related to music. He plays every instrument, sings every type, and is talented in so many more areas, reminding us of the Joker in a deck of cards. Anyone would be lucky to play with him, for sure, and former One Direction member Niall Horan knows that. While speaking to NME, he was asked to create a dream band, and Dave was one of his top choices.
Niall Horan is currently focusing on his solo career but achieved fame in One Direction, a boyband that the world hadn’t seen in a while. Constantly compared to the Backstreet Boys, One Direction broke many musical records and became one of the best-selling boybands of all time. The band focused on soft rock, pop, and slow music mostly, but after their demise, band members like Harry Styles focused on more rock sounds in their solo albums.
Rock is not alien to Niall as well, and since he has known how to play the guitar from an early age, he is well-familiar with and admires rock music, although he decided to stay on the softer side of it. In a new interview, the musician was told that Lewis Capaldi wanted him and Elton John in his dream band. Horan stated that he also now has to include Lewis in his dream band and continued by agreeing to keep Elton John but made an addition; Dave Grohl.
The interviewer said:
“Recently, your pal Lewis Capaldi said that his dream supergroup would be you, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, and himself.”
Horan reacted:
“That’s some group!”
The interviewer asked:
“Who would be in yours?”
Horan replied:
“Well, now I have to put him in it. Me and him, with…that’s a great question. Elton’s a legend, to be fair. In all senses of the word. Lewis and I have got to know Elton a bit, and he’s so funny. And Dave Grohl. Dave Grohl, myself, Elton John, and Lewis Capaldi. What a line-up!”
Just imagine a band including Dave Grohl, Elton John, the Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, and his close friend Niall Horan. What a mixture of genres the albums would be! We don’t know how Dave Grohl would feel about this since his focus has mostly been rock and roll. However, he loves pop culture singers like Billie Eilish, and Niall Horan wouldn’t be a far-off bet to place on.
