There will be several exciting movies in MCU Phase 5, including Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which is said to be Marvel’s best script. However, an update about its script is not the only thing that makes Quantumania super exciting and interesting because Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror will make his debut on the big screen in the threequel to Antman.
We first saw Kang in the first season of the Disney plus Marvel series Loki. Now, the new updates suggest that the Kang we’ll see in Antman is just one of the many variants of Kang. Paul Rudd’s MCU character will be facing, most probably, an evil variant of Kang the Conqueror in the film.
Furthermore, it has also been confirmed that various versions or variants of the Kang will appear in the MCU throughout Phases 5 and 6. And with all the updates coming around, recently, Peyton Reed (Antman director) hinted how Quantumania will set up the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
How Antman 3 will set up Avengers: The Kang Dynasty
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever concluded MCU’s Phase 4, and Phase 5 will kick off with Antman 3 after a few months. In the film, the evil or menace variant of Kang the Conqueror will be introduced to an Avenger (Scott Lang/Antman). Jonathan Majors’ character will have a serious impact and bring vital changes in the MCU.
Quantumania is going to be a very crucial movie that will lead us to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Furthermore, we might also see how powerful and what catastrophes Kang could bring in Avengers 5.
So how does Quantumania really leads to the Kang Dynasty? Because the screenwriter of Quantumania, Jeff Loveness, will also write the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Antman’s director Peyton Reed also said the same thing in an interview with Empire. He said, “I think it has a profound impact on the MCU. Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang The Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.”
He further said that we will see a very different Kang from what we saw in Loki, “Kang The Conqueror in our movie is a very different character. He’s someone who has dominion over time, and he’s a warrior and a strategist,” Reed explained.
Even if some retards say that Quantum Mania will not lead us to the Kang Dynasty, we will still be able to see how much bigger of a villain Kang is than the previous big bad, Thanos. At the same time, it will be interesting to see how Quantumania’s events will be linked and influence the future of MCU movies.
Kang might appear in several MCU movies.
First of all, there have been rumors that we will be seeing Kang the Conqueror in season 2 of Loki. This backs the claim that Quantumania will unleash many Kang variants, which both the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige and Antman director Peyton Reed have been hinting at for a long time.
Reed has described Kang as a “force of nature,” a “warrior,” a “strategist,” and more, and clearly, this could only mean that there are numerous Kang variants. So, which version or variant of Kang will we see in the upcoming Antman film? It’s not yet confirmed, but according to Majors’ strength-and-conditioning coach Jamie Sawyer, the Kang we see in Antman is Kang’s warrior variant. He stated, “He is the warrior version of Kang, so there was a focus on what that warrior would look like who’s been around through the ages and has developed every type of combat skill. It was about making him look like an imposing figure.”
Furthermore, rumors about Kang appearing in Loki season 2 seems legit as there are also new updates on the movie, and it seems that former Time Variance Authority (TVA) agent Mobius M. Mobius from Loki will appear and have a key role in the film. As mentioned, this will be the first movie of MCU’s Phase 5, and clearly, Marvel Studios will start 2023 with a banger.
