GTA 6: Rockstar Takes Action Following Massive Leaks

GTA 6

Gamers have waited for GTA 6 for almost a decade, but after the recent leaks of their production, some actions needed to be taken.

Rockstar has publicly announced that GTA 6 is still in production, and they have suggested that this time they will include a new member in their team, “a playable female protagonist,” and will take place in Miami (their fiction city). Nothing has been revealed about the game’s production until, 18 September.

After the leak of their videos resulted in many casualties for the industry and was the most significant game leak ever, the leaks considerably impacted the company’s production, and Rocstar went into panic mode after that.

Rockstar Reacts to GTA 6 Leaks

GTA 6 has been in trouble after the leaks. They have been busy collecting the pieces of the leaks that were made public. The studio disables the comment option on their social media to stop the spread of the leak.

“Diehard soda fans guzzled a ridiculous amount of cans over the past three weeks, and ultimately eCola fans outdrank the competition. All players will receive the eCola Chute Bag, eCola Varsity jacket, and eCola Forwards / Backwards Caps upon logging in to GTA Online this week. Plus, everyone who played GTA Online at any point during the Sprunk vs. eCola showdown will receive a GTA$300,000 bonus.”
Rockstar (parent company Take-Two Interactive) has also started to takedown requests on YouTube.
There wasn’t a way to know if the news was fake or just a copy version of GTA 6, but Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier thoroughly checked the footage and confirmed that the leaks were an actual play of GTA 6.
“Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games,” said Jason on his Twitter.
This was big news for the company as it could’ve resulted in many casualties, and after some research, some viewers believe that the game was actually from a 2019 project.
The Rockstar Games also hated an update in their social media; they shared a statement which said that the leak of their game was because of “a network intrusion” :
“We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto. At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our live game services nor any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.”
Everyone was in commotion and were worried after the leaks, but Rockstar Games stated that it didn’t affect the development of their game, they also mentioned that things would continue to go as planned and will be appropriately introduced to the audience when it is ready.
“We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way. Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed as ever to delivering an experience to you, our players, that truly exceeds your expectations. We will update everyone again soon and properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready. We want to thank everyone for their ongoing support through this situation.”

What’s Next for GTA 6?

This has been quite a rollercoaster for the Rockstar Games. They have been developing the game for almost a decade, and out of nowhere, their information got leaked; fortunately, it didn’t lead to many casualties in the pan and development of the game.

They had held their grips tight on the details and information of their coming sequel, but will it change everything after the leak?

After all the info and nation that Rock Star has provided to their audience, we can assume the game will be released soon. There is a high possibility that GTA is keeping the casualties secret, and to cover all the leaked information, the game might take much more time than expected, but it’s Rockstar that we’re talking about.

Rockstar has been consistently honest with its viewers, and if there’s someone that we can fully trust in the gaming community, then it has to be Rockstar Games. They are the only studio that follows their rules.

It seems like Rockstar games will announce after they finish cleaning the mess. They will not reveal the official title or anything until they ultimately plan to release the game.
