Actress Pom Klementieff is widely known for her role as Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy film series but now she will also be joining another huge film franchise Mission Impossible. It is reported that Klementieff will be starring alongside Tom Cruise’s popular character Ethan Hunt in Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two.
While there is still no information regarding the movie’s plot, it is well expected that our beloved agent Hunt will be hunting down some dangerous and menacing foes like he always does, with the help of his companions, of course.
Pom Klementieff is excited to join Mission Impossible franchise
It is yet to reveal what character Klementieff will be playing in the film however, she sure is excited to join one of the world’s leading and popular film series. Recently, we saw her in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, furthermore, she was with Collider to talk about her GOTG Holiday Special experiences, she also revealed that she will be joining Tom Cruise in his next big adventure in Mission Impossible.
She said, “Oh, he’s incredible to work with. He’s so thoughtful, powerful to see, he’s so kind and so generous, and he’s such an inspiration. He just pushes himself, always challenges himself and yeah, he’s always a constant inspiration. Oh my God, I was so, so, so excited. I was so happy and also so stressed because I wanted to tell everyone, but I had to keep it a secret for at least a few days. But yeah, it was a dream come true for sure.”
This is not the first time MCU stars have played in the Mission Impossible franchise, in 2018 Black Panther star Angela Bassett portrayed the character of Erica Sloane in the sixth Mission Impossible film. But it seems that she will not be joining Mantis actress in the seventh installment of the film. Moreover, Klementieff will be joined by another Marvel star, Hayley Atwell, who is said to be one of the crucial characters (Grace) of the film.
As mentioned above, we don’t know what character Klementieff will be portraying in the movie, however, let’s discuss what character she could be portraying.
What character will Pom Klementieff be portraying?
With only one released trailer of Dead Reckoning Part One, we can see Klementieff’s character fighting Ethan Hunt, her character was also seen with Rebecca Ferguson’s character Ilsa Faust and Vanessa Kirby’s character Alanna Mitsopolis (White Widow).
Considering everything we saw in the trailer, we can expect that she will be one of the antagonists of the film. However, although her character will be an antagonist in the film, we are yet to know who she works for.
Pom Klementieff was spotted with Tom Cruise
About a month earlier, Klementieff and Cruise were spotted together while filming for the sequel, or second part, of Dead Reckoning. The 60 years old actor flew himself and Klementieff to the UK, and he was seen helping the 36 years old actress to get out of the helicopter seat. As per the reports, Cruise was shooting his stunts in the Lake District and he later explained that he really loves the UK.
He appeared in Derbyshire Live where he said, “Everyone is pleasant and will give you a nod or say hello without crowding you. I was brought up to be well-mannered and you really get that in Britain. I also like the fact that I am walking the same streets as Shakespeare, Dickens, and even The Beatles. That is really cool.”
He further said, “I guess I am an Anglophile. I spend a lot of time in Britain and that’s not just for work reasons. I just love being here.”
