You know it’s going to be something amazing when we hear news like Disney and Pixar teaming up. They are here again to show us the heartwarming story of how unfamiliar characters like Fire and Water get together.
Since the release of Inside Out in 2015, fans are on high expectations for another groundbreaking animation that will portray the deep meaning of self-love, courage, and empathy, and will help the audiences to follow their own steps and complete their dreams.
After the announcement of their new movie Elemental, the fans are having the same expectations, and the studio seems to deliver the same beautiful message to the fans with a story of finding the same place despite their differences.
When Will Elemental Be Released?
The 27th movie of Pixar was teased at D23, and they revealed its premiere date as on Father’s Day weekend, June 16th, 2023.
The movie is going to be exciting because it is filled with emotion that; going to touch the hearts of many fans. The story of the movie is based on four elements living together in a wide city.

Peter Sohn will direct the movie and when we look at the official art concept of the movie; we can find these two elements wandering the big city. The audiences are sure that Pixar and Disney are gonna impress them when the movie will make its debut in theaters next year.
We have high expectations of the movie because Sohn got the idea to create this movie from his experience while he was staying in New York City. He plans to bring something to the audience that is twister yet beautiful.

Will Elemental Be in Theaters?
Yes! Elemental will only be released in theaters.
Like Lightyear, Elemenatla will be released only in theaters so if you are a Disney Plus subscriber then remember the movie will not appear on this platform until mid-September of next year.
This was a big project for Disney because it cost them an additional $30 per film on top of the audience’s monthly subscription. Well, it must be because many films are coming to the cinema, so Disney stopped the straight-to-streaming system.
The Inspiration to make Elemental
The movie will portray the same story just like what Sohn said. He stated that he got the idea to create this movie when his family immigrated from Korea to America and built a grocery store in the Bronx.
He stated that they traveled into new parts of the world with hopes and dreams and eventually became together. They lived in the same land where there were other languages, cultures, and neighborhoods were living together.
“My parents emigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and built a bustling grocery store in the Bronx,” he continued; “We were among many families who ventured to a new land with hopes and dreams—all of us mixing into one big salad bowl of cultures, languages, and beautiful little neighborhoods. That’s what led me to Elemental.”
The idea of Sohn was bringing the different cultures into a single place. He wanted to realize his audience how beautiful it looks when cultures blend with each other. He added in his statement;
“Our story is based on the classic elements—fire, water, land, and air. Some elements mix with each other, and some don’t. What if these elements were alive?”
What Will Elemental Be About?
Let’s take a look at what the official synopsis says about the plot of the movie:
The film journeys alongside an unlikely pair, Ember and Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The fiery young woman and the go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common.
The story will mostly focus on Ember and Wade who live in a busy city that is connected by bridges. The city is designed for specific elements, and many of them live in towering skyscrapers.
Taking a look at the scenario of the world, the buildings are covered in lush greenery where the residents of earth grow their sprouts and look after them. The water elements can travel through various water slides, and windmills. Whereas, the fire elements have a difficult living compared to Water elements.
The fire elements live on the other side of the bridge. They live in low buildings with a chimney where smoke keeps bursting out. The Fire element lives in a cozy place, and the main reason why fire and water elements can’t live together is to prevent different casualties.
If they join together, the living air beings can get evaporate which will affect nature. Another reason, why the elements don’t live together, is to prevent trees and plants from getting burned, and the same goes for the water element so that they don’t put out the fire.
When we take a look at the trailer, they introduced us to how the elements interact with each other and this can be a sign of the plot of the movie.
When we take a look at the trailer, grass grows from the land when the water-being sneezes and the air-being element comes and smells the flowers that are growing from the land but as Ember passes away another land-being pulls her child away.
The same happens, as she passes by an air-being, a small portion of the element’s head evaporates. The trailer gives us a clear sign that nothing goes as planned if all the elements will start to live together.
The movie is going to be beautiful because in Elemental we can see a beautiful picture of Water falling for the flames. It’s exciting to see the steamy relationship between these two.
Who is Making Elemental?
The film is going to get directed by Peter Sohn who joined Pixar Studios for the first time in 2000.
He is a talented individual and this is going to be his first credited directing role. We can assure you that the movie is going to exceed our expectations because he is known for making exceptional movies such as; Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
The writer of Inside Out, Up, Soul, and Wall-E, Pete Doctor is going to take the role of executive producer with the help of producer Denise Ream, and she is also known for her works in Up, Cars 2, and Toy Story 4.
The producers of movies are exceptional and this has caught the attention of many fans. The audiences are eager to see the release of the movies to see how the producers will put their impact the movie.
Brenda Hsueh is going to write the screenplay of the movie, the audience has high expectations of him as well because he is well-known for making comedy series such as; How I Met Your Mother and Truth Be Told.
