Tenoch Huerta’s character K’uk’ulkan better known as Namor, has finally made his debut in the MCU with the blockbuster film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Critics and fans have shown love for his character and want to see more of Feathered Serpent God in future Marvel projects.
Namor is also referred to as Marvel’s first mutant, which is why many speculate that he might get tied with X-Men or even in Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie Fantastic Four because Susan Storm (Invisible Woman) is drawn toward the underwater King.
Although we have seen individual mutants in the MCU, we still don’t have further reports on the whole X-Men universe, so it is doubtful that we’ll see X-Men film anytime soon in the MCU. However, Marvel Studios has already made plans for Fantastic Four, and it is expected to be released on February 14, 2025, and it seems that we will also see Namor in the film. How? Find out below.
Could Namor appear in Fantastic Four?
Rather than giving our opinion, it might be best to write what Tenoch Huerta stated about his future in the MCU. When asked if he would be back in the MCU, he didn’t deny it. He told Rolling Stone, “Well, I don’t know what’s in the plan for Namor in the future, Me, Tenoch, as a person, I want to play this character many times, but it’s not up to me. I think it’s up to Ryan [Coogler], Nate [Moore], and Mr. Kevin Feige.”
Since Huerta neither confirmed nor denied that he will appear in the future. It could mean we will see him portraying Namor’s character again in Marvel Studios’ 2025 movie Fantastic Four. This could be because of his complicated on-and-off flirtatious relationship with Reed Richards’ (Mr. Fantastic) wife, Susan Storm.
At the end of Wakanda Forever, Namor confirms that he is waiting for the right moment to invade the surface world and who else than Susan Storm could be perfect for calming down the Feathered Serpent God? So, the upcoming Fantastic Four is the ideal opportunity for Namor’s character to re-appear in the MCU.
Besides Fantastic Four, Namor could also have a brief appearance in Marvel Studios’ 2024 film Thunderbolts, as this will directly be connected with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Will Namor make way for X-Men?
As mentioned, MCU has already introduced us to Professor Charles Xavier in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, similarly, a mutant named Ms. Marvel, and now Namor, who’s Marvel’s first mutant. However, we still don’t have any updates on when we will get to see our favorite superhero group will appear in the MCU.
Indeed, a few characters from X-Men will appear in the Avengers: Secret Wars, and after the end of Phase 6, maybe in Phase 7, we will see everyone in the X-Men together.
And given the fact that Huerta’s character is already a fan favorite, he will be included in future Marvel films, which might also include X-Men.
Will Namor ally with the Avengers?
There is no doubt that Namor might appear in the upcoming Avengers films, The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. However, it is a bit doubtable whether the Kang Dynasty will have Namor or not. Still, he definitely will appear in Secret Wars, as Feige plans to make Secret Wars the biggest movie of all time and to do so, Marvel Studios will bring major Marvel characters into the film. Since Namor is already a central character, there is zero percent chance of him not being in the movie.
And as mentioned above, he will also appear in future MCU projects after Phase 6.
