Known as the sigma male from American Psycho, Christian Bale has become a highlight in the world after his remarkable return to Marvel Studios in July 2022 (he played the villainous Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder) he stole the spotlight of the show once again.

Christian Bale is known for delivering some of the best performances, and we can see a fraction of his work as Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Bale has almost acquired everything in his career, but there is still one franchise that he hasn’t joined yet.

Bale still hasn’t joined  Lucasfilm and Disney’s Star Wars saga. Recently, the Oscar-winner actor shared his idea of taking part in the galaxy far, far away, and the role he wants to play in the franchise is sure unexpected.

Christian Bale Reveals Specific Star Wars Role

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Christain Bale shared his thoughts on joining the Star Wars Universe and revealed the role he always wanted to play.

Bale has explained that he had always wanted to act as a background Star Wars character, like Stormtrooper “who (hits his) head on a door or something.” Bale has also explained that he wants to play a more delighted role than that in Star Wars but apart from that, he still wants to look out for the Stra Wars action which was a core part of his childhood.

“All I ever wanted in Star Wars was to be in a Star Wars outfit and hit my head on a door or something as I walked through. The real nerds who watched Star Wars way too many times always knew about that one scene where the Stormtrooper hits his head on the door as he comes through. I wanted to be that guy. That was it.

The moment that Bale is referring to is from  1977’s Star Wars: A New Hope. In that scene, a group of stormtroopers burst into a room, and one of them smacks his head right on the top of the door frame. The scene sure is hilarious.

He wants the background character but if he gets offered to something big, he won’t turn the larger role down as well; “But look, if I’m fortunate enough to be more than that, oh man, yeah. What a delight that would be. I’ve still got the figures from when I was little.”

He has also said that he has a connection with the president of Star Wars, so there might be possibilities of him as a stormtrooper “I also know Kathy Kennedy very well because she was working with Spielberg when I did Empire of the Sun, and now, she runs the Star Wars universe.”

Well, this isn’t the first time that Bale has shared his thoughts on joining the Star Wars galaxy. During the 2017 podcast Happy Sad Confused, he revealed that he was on the move to join the cast of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

“Yes, [it was] very tempting,” Bale said at the time. “I not only love the films going back to my childhood but also have a very long relationship with [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy and [producer] Frank Marshall because they did Empire of the Sun many years back. There was discussion, [and] I hope there will be future discussions.”

“I’ve still got the Millennium Falcon. I’ve got the AT-AT.” He added that Star Wars is the franchise that interests him a lot as both an actor and a fan. It will be interesting to see him in the franchise. Seeing the sigma male as a stormtrooper will surely fascinate the fans.
