While Hugh Jackman is set to reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, we still have no information about who the villain will be. Recently, an insider, Daniel Richtman, revealed on his Patreon that the filmmakers are looking for a female villain. And although it is not yet confirmed, there are rumors that one of the villains they are considering for Deadpool 3 is Lady Deathstrike.
The makers are also looking for a strong actor with great humor for a male BIPOC lead who will have scenes with both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. However, none of these rumors has been confirmed by Marvel, so there is still a curtain to be raised before Marvel announces the villain for the threequel.
New cast members in Deadpool 3
Richtman also revealed on his Patreon a few weeks ago that we will see Owen Wilson’s MCU character Mobius M. Mobius which we have already seen in the first season of Loki. Furthermore, Richtman also stated that Mobius would have a significant role in the film.
As per the reports, Rayan Renolds wants to bring Channing Tatum as Gambit in the movie for a cameo. And since Mobius from TVA, we might get small cameos with several actors. And since Loki season 2 will be released before Deadpool 3, we might get further updates on the rumor. That is all we know about the new cast members so far.
Tatum and Reid Carolin started developing the idea for Gambit for four years, and finally, they completed the project. They wanted to direct the movie themselves. However, the studio did not want them. Tatum said, “The studio didn’t want us to direct it. Essentially, they wanted anybody but us because we had never directed anything.”
No matter how much they loved that project, they could not agree. Hence we never got to see Gambit. However, if this rumor is true, then this is undoubtedly going to blow not only our minds but the internet as well.

It has been over a decade since we saw Wolverine and Deadpool together in a movie. However, unlike in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, they will not be enemies. The internet shook as Ryan and the Deadpool team posted the video revealing Hugh returning as Wolverine.
Ryan has also stated earlier that we will get more updates on Deadpool 3 soon. It will be great to see both of these top-notch actors together on screen. Furthermore, what excites us more is that Deadpool 3 will be an R-rated film, even though it will take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Keven Fiege, the President of Marvel Studios, stated, “It will be rated R, and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got several things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”
However, we still don’t have any information about the movie’s plot. We know when this film will release as Kevin Feige already announced all the movies from Phase 5 and Phase 6 at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con. And according to the announcement, Deadpool will be the first movie of MCU’s Phase 6 that is set to be released on November 8, 2024.
