This anime series is a love story between a boy and a girl who fall for each other despite their height difference. You might wonder that the height difference is common but there is a twist. The girl is taller than the guy.
The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 172 centimeters (5 ft 8 in) tall which is much taller than the average Japanese girl. The boy, Atsushi Ōtani, is 156 cm (5 ft 1 in) which is way below the height of the average Japanese boy. Because of this, the pair are called the All Hanshin Kyojin after a popular comedy duo that has a similar height difference.
The only problem is that the difference in their heights is extremely exaggerated. The anime made it look like Otani’s head didn’t even reach Risa’s chin which is quite unrealistic considering the height difference.
During summer school, Ryouji Suzuki shows up who seems to be quite tall than a normal Japanese guy. So, because of his tall height, Risa immediately falls for him. Atsushi also likes a girl who is small in height and seems like a perfect match for his height.
Although Risa and Atsushi don’t get along with each other they decide to put aside their differences and help each other get their love interests. Their efforts fail as Suzuki and the girl whom Ōtani had a crush on ended up becoming a couple.
Losing their love interest left both of them quite heartbroken. During their time with each other, they were also able to develop a close relationship with each other. As they get to know each other better, Risa’s feelings for Atsushi begin to blossom, and their love life gets complicated from there on.
