Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon wrap Phase 4 with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and set sail for Phase 5 with Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The movie will surely pick up all the reputation Marvel has gotten recently cause believe us the movie will be badass.
This movie is the stepping stone for Phase 5 and will introduce Kang as the next big baddie in the MCU. The movie will be the building block for what’s to come from Marvel until 2025’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
With the announcement back in 2019, there are several details about the movie since then. Featuring the previous casts of the movie like Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Cassie Lang, and others, the movie will also feature Kang the conquer.
Prepare to step inside the Quantum Realm, here’s everything we know about Ant-Man’s third solo movie.
The third solo movie of Ant-Man is titled Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Ant-Man was last seen in the final scene of Avengers: Endgame being one of the superheroes who defeated the supervillain, Thanos. With the release of the trailer for the movie, we can see that Scott is doing great and looking is adjusting to his newfound celebrity persona.
Also, the trailer for the movie revealed that Scott’s daughter Cassie is now a teenager. And with her newly invented machine which can send messages to the Quantum Realm, Cassie along with Scott, Hank, Hope, and Janet all get sucked into the Quantum Realm.
Believe us, it doesn’t end there. Seems like the Quantum Realm is a whole new world and there they meet up with a lot of strange beings and creatures. Among them is Kang, the conqueror who asks for a favor from Scott in exchange for his family’s safety.
The trailer gave us a lot of information about the movie, which also revealed that Kang in this movie is a true menace. When he asked Scott, “Have I killed you before?”, believe us we all lost our heads. This question alone describes his strength and gives us a further take on how he has killed many other Avengers in another timeline.
The synopsis of the movie states,
“Super Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.”
Paul, Lilly, Douglass, and Pfeiffer will be reprising their roles from Ant-Man and The Wasp. We will also be seeing Jonathan Majors star as Kang the conquer. Also, there will be some changes in the cast as Scott’s daughter is now a teenager and will be played by Kathryn Newton.
Cassie will be holding her father’s mantle in this movie and will, later on, gain her nickname Stature, as she is one of the avengers in the Young Avengers team.
Another casting that will appear in the movie is FBI agent Jimmy Woo which has been played by Randall Park who appeared in WandaVision recently.
We could also take a glimpse of Bill Murray in the trailer, and is expected to appear in a villainous role.
What else to expect?
We are just excited about the movie people. We personally think the appearance of M.O.D.O.K at the Comic-Con this year was the most exciting thing. M.O.D.O.K stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing and seeing such a character build their way into the world of cinemas is great in itself.
Another one, who we should be talking about is the young hero, Stature. We can see Scott’s daughter alongside him fighting against Kang. She is a new hero in the lineup for Young Avengers and we think that’s an exciting thing to happen.
When will the movie come out?
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is coming out on February 17, 2023.
And according to the current trend, the movie is also expected to come out on Disney+ three months after the cinematic release.
Until then, be sure to watch the trailer of the movie which came out on October 24th.
